Frequently Asked Questions

Yes you can. bodyNsoulModels.com is NOT a modelling agency and as such does not compete with the agency you are affiliated with. It is a network website. You get to know photographers, makeup artists, hairstylists and hopefully you get to make some beautiful pictures with those people that can improve your portfolio. Many of them will work for their portfolio on TFP basis with the models and each other.

Your profile will be reviewed within one week after you sign up. When you sign up you immediately become an authorized but unapproved user. In the mean time you can use a limited set of features on the website. These features include placing comments on images, forum topics and casting calls, but these comments have to be aproved by a moderator first.

Your "About Me" section has to be completely filled out with things such as what you hope to get out of this site, what you're looking to do in the industry, any upcoming projects, longterm goals, types of work you are or aren't willing to do (TFP, paid assignments only, adult/erotica/nudity, travel out of country, etc). Without such basic information, you're likely to be contacted by many people you may not want to work with. Help keep unwanted contact to a minimum by answering these common questions preemptively within your profile text.

Currently, we are only accepting members who fall into one of the following five categories: model, photographer, makeup artist, hair stylist or wardrobe stylist. Both your photos and "About Me" section must reflect a sincere desire to pursue work in one of these five areas. If your photos or information don't match the area you designated, or remain incomplete for more than a few days, your profile will be rejected.

Actually you can sign up with any age for now, because the age verification module is not working as yet on bodyNsoulModels.com.

In the future bodyNsoul Models would like to require members to be of a certain age. For example at least 16 years, because at that age, legal school requirements are different. And Models could actually decide (if underage with the help of their parents) whether to pursue professional opportunities or not.

In the Forums there is a special place for such suggestions and requests. Klik here to go straight to the right forum. Else click on Forums in the Menu, scroll down the Forum page and under Site Related Forums, you will find the Feature Request forum.

You were either violating one of the above criteria (incomplete profile, inadequate photos, or younger than 16) or you were verbally abusive/threatening to other members. You can also be banned from the site for spamming through the message system, casting calls, comments or forums.

Please send all comments, complaints, requests (etc) to our team of moderators using the "Contact-A-Mod" form. Do not send private messages to moderators individually instead. Your issue will be addressed much quicker (and with much less chance of irritation) if you contact everyone at once through the C-A-M form.

You have to resize the image. Microsoft has a simple tool for that that you can download from here. After you install the tool, just right klik on the image you want to upload in Explorer and select Resize Image. The rest will speak for itself. A minimum size of 640x480 is recommended for the website, larger could also. Smaller is not recommended as users will not see the picture in all its beauty.

Yes that is right. As the Add Portfolio Image form already says, you can only upload one portfolio picture at a time. When you click the SUBMIT button you can go back to Add Portfolio image in the menu and upload the next picture. Somewhere in the future this will be improved and will you be able to upload multiple images at one time.

So for now just take your time and upload them one by one.

During registration you can already upload your avatar, by uploading it a the Picture section in the registration form. However most people miss this feature and need to upload their avatar after registration. You can simply do that by clicking on My Account in the Menu. You will see 5 tabs, View, Edit Account, Edit User Profile, Subscriptions and Track.

That is very simple to achieve. Just go to My Account. You will see 5 tabs, View, Edit Account, Edit User Profile, Subscriptions, Track. Click on the Subscriptions tab. Now you will see 3 sub-tabs, threads, content types, rss feed. Click on Content Types and select Casting Form and click on Submit. That is it, as simple as 1,2,3...

Your avatar or User Picture is the thumbnail version of the photo you upload to represent your profile. It will be shown attached to your forum posts, private messages, in search listings, casting calls, comments and in various other places on the website. You can upload your own avatar or select one by going to My Account and click on the Edit Account tab.

TFP stands for time in exchange for prints ("Time For Prints") and TFCD is time in exchange for a CD of images. It is an arrangement in which everyone contributes their time and skills and everyone gets images, but no cash payment is made. Details of TFP type shoots (usage rights, number of images produced and given to the model, etc) vary according to the individual deals people make amongst themselves. The term TFP is rarely used in the real world modeling industry, but there is a preferred term ("test") which functions in the same capacity.

More about TFP can be found

GWC is an acronym for "Guy With Camera." It's a derogatory term for amateur photographer that's taken the internet by storm. It usually implies that said guy is only interested in photography to get hot ladies to get "nekkid" for him.

The website is still in BETA but it basic features will ALWAYS remain free. We are currently not offering VIP memberships, but we are ready to listen to you what features you would like to see in such a Membership. Already have the request for More Portfolio Images on the profile on the list.
